AYSO Region 1103 Soccer Slam Tournament

Congratulations to our Soccer Slam teams that competed in 2024!

12U First Place team

Soccer Slam is a fast paced, high scoring outdoor soccer tournament. 8U plays 5v5 on a 8U size field while all other divisions play 6v6 on a 10U size field.  This is a CoEd tournament and two boys and two girls are required on the field at all times.  In addition, to provide more tactical options to teams, girl's goals will be counted as two points. This tournament has often been referred to as "Fast Break Soccer" & is run in a similar fashion to a 3v3 basketball tournament.

All teams will play 2 - 4 pool play games (30-40 minutes each) on Saturday and then be placed into a single elimination bracket on Saturday to play for medals and trophies. There is music playing on the loud speaker throughout the day and there are skills competition for prizes.

Come join the fun!!

Soccer Slam 2025 Dates / Location TBD

Teams may be formed with the following criteria...

  1. Teams should be formed by pulling players from AT MOST two regular season AYSO teams.  Any exceptions must be approved by both the Regional Commissioner of the Region forming the team, and the Tournament Coordinator.
  2. For the 2024 tournament, we will offer an 8U, a 10U, a 12U, a 14U/16U, and a 16/19U Division.
  3. Teams may have at most 3 Select, Extra, or Club players.  Any participation in any program outside of or above regular AYSO recreational soccer may designate this player as such. ALL non- AYSO players are pending approval.
  4. Players may play up (but not down) a division, but only with the recommendation of the player's regular season coach the approval of the player's parents or guardians.  In addition, this division shift must be approved by the Regional Commissioner of the Region forming the team, and the Tournament Coordinator.
  5. 14/16U teams may have, at most, Three 16U level players per team.
  6. 16U players may play in either the 14/16U division or the 16/19U division without special approval, however, any player with ANY High School Varsity experience may only participate in the 16/19U division.
  7. All teams must maintain two boys & two girls on the field at all times.  It is therefore recommended that you have at least three of each gender so you can more freely substitute.
  8. Only AYSO Registered players are eligible for this tournament.  Non-AYSO players, or former AYSO players within the geographic area served by Region 1103 are welcome to participate, but will be charged an additional $20.00 National Fee per player.  This fee will be charged automatically upon registration for the program.  Non-AYSO players from outside the geographic borders of Region 1103 may only participate with the EXPRESS permission of the tournament coordinator.
  9. To be considered an AYSO Registered player for the 2024 tournament, you must be registered as an AYSO Member for the Fall 2023 / Spring 2024 Membership Year.  If you are registered for the Fall 2024 Membership Year only (ie you are a new player for the upcoming fall) then you will still be considered a guest player for the 2024 Slam Tournament.  This tournament is part of the Fall 2023 / Spring 2024 Season.
  10. Players will register for the program by signing up on the AYSO Region 1103 Website (This Site).  If you do not already have one, you will need to create a user account to access the registration functions.
  11. You will be charged the tournament registration fee during registration.  For Any player signing up as part of a pre-formed team (based on the rules specified above)  must specify your team name at registration to be grouped correctly.  Players not specifying a team name will be considered free agents and will be grouped and distributed as needed across the available teams.
  12. Players are encouraged to group themselves into full or partial teams as much as possible (using the team name function).  Any player or players signing up as less than a viable team unit, every effort will be made to find a home for you, but this is not guaranteed.  Players will be placed on a first come basis, based on team gender and balancing needs.  Any free agents who cannot be placed will receive a full refund.  The AYSO National fee (for non-ayso players) is not refundable under any circumstance.
  13. Coaches are strongly encouraged to be involved in the team formation process, especially at 12U and under.  Please keep in mind our goal is to have balanced teams and a competitive tournament, so please do not strive for an "A" team and a "B" team, but strive for Maximum participation.
