Please remember AYSO Region 1103 is a volunteer organization.  All of our coaches, referees, and administrators are volunteers at the regional, area, sectional, and even the National level.  The few paid positions in the organization directly relate to data security, background checks, and legal and financial support.  Even if you are unable to make the commitment to coach or be involved with a team, and you are unwilling to referee games, consider supporting our organization by contributing your time and effort in one of the following capacities...


 Regional Board Members

We are always recruiting new board members to help manage the region.  It takes a lot of time to set up fields, recruit players and coaches, train coaches and referees, divide teams, order uniforms, schedule games, balance the checkbook and pay the bills.  By joining the regional board, you will have an opportunity to influence the future of the region, as well as having an impact on our current day activities.  No soccer knowlege is required!  For a current list of vacant board positions, please refer to this listing.   If you are intersted in shaping the future of our organization, please contact the regional commissioner at [email protected].

Soccer Slam Committee

Get involved with the planning and preparations for this years Soccer Slam Tournament.  We are looking for committee members to help plan this tournament, as well as event volunteers to help with such things as registration table, First Aide, Field Maintenance, Field Monitors, Referees, and Coaches.  To contact the tournament coordinator and get involved, email   [email protected]g.

Volunteer Appreciation Potluck

Help plan, organize, and carry out the Annual Volunteer Appreciation Potluck.  Say Thank you to the over 100 volunteers that make AYSO Region 1103 function on a day to day basis.  We would love to have enough additional help for this event so that the regular volunteers, board members, coaches, and referees are able to relax and enjoy the evening.  If you are willing and able to help, contact the soccer slam committee and let them know by sending an email to [email protected].  This years potluck is tentatively planned for the Friday May 18th, at the park in Middle Amana.

Picture Day Assistant

Help communicate to coaches when picture day is, help organize the teams on picture day, or assist with the distribution of pictures afterward. 

Field Work
Help with set up & tear down of fields every week. Also help with painting of fields & getting nets on goals at the fields. Some potential help needed could include moving of goals between playing locations.
