Updated information for January 2025 tournament
The Indoor Iowa Games tournament is held in Dubuque, currently at the Five Flags Center, on the last weekend in January each season. This tournament plays a 5v5 indoor format, with a larger goal and a keeper. Play is on a basketball court size field. This is an excellent tournament to participate in, as it is generally composed of recreational teams. AYSO Region 1103 often brings at least one team in each age/gender division.
There are team based divisions at 10U through Adult, and there is a jamboree division for 5U to 8U participants as well.
There is also opportunity for the adult soccer enthusiast at this tournament. All are welcome to register for the Adult division, but AYSO Volunteers may register and play in the Adult Co-Ed AYSO Volunteer Division. Contact [email protected] for more information regarding volunteer eligibility.
To Register Interest for this tournament, please sign in to your AYSO Region 1103 User account, and register in the proper age division. If you are willing to coach or manage a team, please volunteer in this division as well. For additional information please email [email protected].
Eligibility: This Tournament is NOT limited to AYSO Primary Program players. Guest Players or former players may participate without registering with AYSO Region 1103. Select program players may participate without limitation, but if two teams in a division are participating, then the teams should be balanced regardless of select team participation. Adult team requires two female participants on the court at all times.
Competition Format: Competition will be 5 vs. 5 (4 field players and a goalkeeper). Team rosters are a minimum of 5 players with a max of 12 players. Round robin play with a minimum of three games per team, whenever possible. Preliminary games will be scheduled for 40 minutes with a 5 minute halftime. Playoff games will be scheduled for 50 minutes with a 5 minute halftime. Scoring will be based on win-loss-tie record (i.e. 3 points per win, 1 point per tie, 0 points per loss). If a tie exists after all preliminary games, then it will be broken by a point scoring system that will be supplied with the rules. Players must wear shin guards and proper uniform.
